Doctor Who: Rory's Trip

Worked on this. I think Amy's gonna draw it.
I just wanted to write something. Was fun.

 PAGE 1 

               ONE: 
               We see the interior of THE TARDIS. Inside are THE DOCTOR, AMY
               and RORY. AMY and RORY are stood to one side as THE DOCTOR
               fiddles with THE TARDIS CONTROLS. 

                                   RORY
                         Now Doctor .. when you said
                         'birthday surprise' ..well.. this
                         isn't gonna be something weird, is
                         it? 

               TWO:
               A 'two-shot'. We can see the back of THE DOCTOR - as if we're
               stood behind him looking at RORY. 

                                   RORY (CONT'D)
                         I mean, time and space travel -
                         it's always sort of weird but .. I
                         just mean we aren't going to see
                         squids .. playing tennis .. or
                         something .. are we?

               THREE:
               THE DOCTOR's face lights up in amusement. He's excited. 

                                   THE DOCTOR
                         That sounds amazing! Let's find a
                         place where we can watch that! Wait.
                         No. There was a plan. Let's do the
                         plan...

                                   RORY
                         Which is?

               FOUR: 
               We're now outside THE TARDIS. THE DOCTOR, AMY and RORY are
               now surrounded by what looks like a cross between a space
               station and a football stadium. Very futuristic. The sky
               overhead is open, revealing stars and planets and beautiful
               nebulae. 

                                   THE DOCTOR
                         Oh y'know... Just the universe's
                         first "Worlds Cup"..

                                   RORY
                         Football?

                                   THE DOCTOR
                         Football.

               FIVE:
               Close up on RORY. He has a huge grin on his face.

               ONE:
               RORY is shown to be walking ahead, possibly looking at some
               of the alien refreshments. THE DOCTOR and AMY are walking a
               little bit slower behind him.

                                   RORY (MOSTLY OFF PANEL)
                         Ooh, let's get some glorblox bits! 

                                   AMY
                         Well. Rory's fitting in. Worlds
                         Cup?

                                   THE DOCTOR
                         Right. Like the 'world cup' but..
                         Well, every planet in the universe
                         wanted to play.

               TWO:
               AMY has a look of apprehension on her face, looking a little
               freaked out. 

                                   AMY
                         EVERY planet? We're not gonna bump
                         into a Dalek here are we? 

                                   THE DOCTOR
                         Well, not EVERY, obviously. Few
                         exceptions. Daleks couldn't play
                         anyway. No legs..

               THREE:
               THE DOCTOR and AMY continue to walk behind RORY. AMY now has
               a smile on her face as she looks at THE DOCTOR, she clearly
               found his comment funny.

               ONE: 
               RORY, THE DOCTOR and AMY are sat up in the stands now (in
               that order). Even though the soccer station is very
               futuristic, the seats are just metal versions of wooden
               benches that don't have any backs. They're surrounded by all
               sorts of aliens from around the Doctor Who universe. (Cameo
               of Ice Warriors please?) There's a SILURIAN sat behind AMY.
               RORY is very clearly lost in the game, sat on the edge of his
               seat. 

               TWO:
               The SILURIAN grabs AMY and starts to drag her away as she
               struggles, his hand over her mouth to muffle her screams. Not
               that her screaming is much of an issue - because one of the
               teams just scored a goal. RORY and THE DOCTOR have both
               jumped up, completely oblivious to what's happening around
               them.

                                   RORY
                         GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAL!

               THREE: 
               They're now sat back down. This one is a small panel of THE
               DOCTOR, having noticed now that the sound of cheering fans had
               died away.

               FOUR:
                                   THE DOCTOR
                         Rory. 

               RORY is still engrossed in the game. He's on his feet again
               looking angry. 

                                   RORY
                         OH COME ON! THAT KICK WAS -SO- ANTI
                         GRAVITY OFFSIDE!

               FIVE:
               THE DOCTOR sighs as he walks away in the direction of THE
               SILURIAN, leaving RORY to watch the game.

               ONE:
               CAPTION: Later..

               THE TARDIS CREW has been reunited in the marketplace. RORY
               seems very relaxed. THE DOCTOR and AMY appear to have been
               covered in lime green goo. They look like something quite
               possibly tried to turn them into or baste them in giant
               glorblox bits. 

                                   RORY
                         Well I had fun.. and nothing weird
                         happened! Successful trip, I'd say.

               TWO: 
               THE DOCTOR looks bemused. AMY just looks angry. 

                                   RORY  (O.S.) (CONT'D)
                         What? 

               THREE: 
               AMY storms off towards the TARDIS.

               FOUR: 
               RORY is now stood looking bewildered at THE DOCTOR, who has a
               look of absolute amusement on his face. 

                                   RORY (CONT'D)
                         What'd I say? ..and what's that
                         smell?

               CAPTION: END.
